South Asia Plastics is expected to reduce the price of thick plate CCL (copper foil substrate), with an average reduction of about 10%. It is pointed out that the price reduction is mainly considered in the market conditions of the downstream PCB industry during the peak season is not as expected! However, Wu Jiazhao, the general manager of South Asia, said that the signing of the case has not yet been sent to him, so there is no information on the plan. South Asia believes that September revenue will continue to decline compared with August, mainly because plastic products, including its main product ethylene glycol (EG) prices continue to decline, coupled with excessive fluctuations in oil prices, buying gas continues to wait and see. In addition, the upstream raw material supply plant and the group-related enterprise Taiwan Plastics began to carry out the repairs in September, which also affected the supply. In the third quarter of last year, the EG, which set a historical high price, became a profitable pill in South Asia last year. However, EG prices have continued to decline since the beginning of this year, from $1,415 per metric ton at the beginning of the year to $1,115 at the beginning of April, and more than 800 last week. The US dollar has set a new low price this year, and EG currently accounts for about 30% of South Asia's revenue. It is bound to have an impact on revenue, and the profit will be dragged down. In addition, Taiwan Plastics will carry out annual repairs in September and October, including 1 set of refining equipment and 1 set of ethylene equipment. The market estimates that the two sets of equipment will be repaired, which will affect the revenue performance in September and October. Taiwan Plastics pointed out that, in particular, almost the whole month of September was repaired in September, and the impact was relatively large. In October, it was only half a month old, and the impact was relatively small. Lin Keyan, a spokesperson for Taiwan Plastics, pointed out that when the annual break, it will affect refining capacity by about 25% to 30%. This part of the plasticization itself will have an impact, but the impact is limited. However, the six-light four-phase annual production capacity of 1.2 million tons of ethylene equipment is partially closed, and it is estimated that the 1.5-month-old repair time will affect the production capacity by 150,000 tons. This part has a great impact on the plasticization of Taiwan and the supply within the group. The market estimates that the repair of the two sets of equipment will affect the revenue of Taiwan Plastics and Group shares including Formosa Plastics, South Asia and Taiwan in September and October.
